 Executive Directors

Anne Reel, Executive Director

The new executive director of the Humane Society of Elkhart County says she’s ready to tackle some large tasks.

Anne Reel, an Elkhart resident, will be responsible for donor development, managing employees and volunteers, interacting with local municipalities and implementing HSEC board policies as executive director.

The humane society took in more than 8,000 abused and unwanted animals in 2008 and Reel is prepared to continue protecting animals in 2009.

“We at the humane society have many challenges ahead with the influx of animal intake due to the economy, but I’m confident we will be successful in our quest to save and protect Elkhart County’s abused and unwanted animals,” Reel said.

Reel has more than 30 years of experience as an executive director for nonprofit organizations.
