Foster Program

All foster parents must complete volunteer training first in order to participate in the foster program. Volunteer training includes:

Volunteer Orientation (1 Hour)
Dog Handling Class (3 Hours)
Cat Handling Class (2 Hours)
Foster Orientation ( 1 Hour)

Click Here to sign up for Volunteer Opportunities. After you have completed all the trainings above, you will be able to fill out a foster application. ALL ANIMALS IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD MUST BE UP TO DATE ON ALL VACCINATIONS!! After the application is completed, a site visit will be arranged for your home. Once the site visit has been completed and the application has been approved, you will then be approved to foster. The whole process may take several weeks to complete.

Once your application has been approved, you will be placed on a list of approved Foster's. When an animal becomes available for Foster, the Foster Coordinator will contact you. You will have 24-48 hours to pick up the animal.

Call the front office for more details at 574.848.4225.
