THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTION!

I’m ready! How do I get started?

Come visit us! Upon arrival at HSEC, we will gather some basic information from you to help up connect you with a great pet match. Plan on adopting and taking your new pet home the same day. Animals will be adopted on a first-come, first-adopt basis. We will not be accepting any holds on any adoptable animals. You will need to come to HSEC and adopt the animal at the time you meet it. This will help move animals into homes quicker while creating space for new animals coming in. Please understand that the animal’s welfare must and will always be our foremost consideration. Therefore, the Humane Society reserves the right to approve or deny an adoption.

The animals below are currently in our adoption center. This page is automatically updated. When an animal is adopted, it’s images and bio will automatically be removed from this page. For more information on each animal, please click on the animals image.

To see owned animals that also need a home, please visit our Home to Home page. Animals on Home to Home are NOT at the Humane Society of Elkhart County. Please contact the current owner via Home to Home.
